This week we wanted to share some information on cardio 🏃♂️
Cardio helps your heart❤️and lungs function better both during exercise and at rest. It is a form of activity or exercise that raises your heart rate and makes you breathe heavier.

By challenging and strengthening your cardiovascular system, you increase its capacity to take in oxygen, pump blood to the working muscles, and clear carbon dioxide and other waste products from your system.
Health authorities recommend that most people get 150 minutes of cardio exercise per week. Even sessions as short as 10 minutes count towards your weekly cardio exercise minutes; split it up in a way that makes sense for you.
Household chores like vacuuming and mopping can qualify as cardio exercise; even grocery shopping! These tasks count towards your Globe Walk progress as well!
Getting out of the house for a walk🚶♂️, bike ride🚴♂️, or even a drive🚗 to your favorite fitness facility sometimes is not viable, especially in winter, so I wanted to share an easy at home workout that will help get your heart rate up— If you need help with balance, use a chair or a wall to hold onto!
