It’s finally Spring! As a committed Globe Walker, I made an effort to walk outside all winter, but it is much more enjoyable to go for a walk on a lovely spring day! With encouragement from our team captain, Joyce Tremmel, I was inspired to write a haiku.
Spring thaw. Sun. Warm breeze.
Friendly waves with passers-by.
I walk on, content.
By comparison, with no attached picture, I also wrote a haiku on a cold -30 degree day in early February.
I walk. Bundled up
against the icy cold wind.
Day dreaming of warmth.
Do any other Globe Walkers wish to respond to the challenge to write their own haiku?
