Another Successful Event …

Our Spring Fling was held on Thursday, March 13th.  I am still receiving calls and emails about it – it was that much fun!

The movie “The Way Home”, celebrating the life of Cree elder and early Park Warden, Jim Settee, was a huge hit and touched everyone present.  The popcorn made it a true movie experience.  Thanks to Joyce Tremmel for arranging it with the film maker, Jeanne Corrigal.

That was followed by a highly energetic session of cardio drumming, led by Kimberly Willison (senior therapist, Sask Health Authority and Globe Walk committee member) who always does a fantastic job – the place was rocking!

Thanks again to our phenomenal volunteers.  In addition to the ones above, the following people helped to make the day a success in so many ways:

  • Janet Barnes
  • Sheldon Kraus
  • Ron Spizziri
  • Dawna Neilson
  • Loretta Messier (our new event volunteer).

Join the fun at our next event.  Mark your calendars for April 18th.

Watch for more details.
