Today’s inspiration, Australia’s oldest professional cowboy, is 84 years old, looks about 60, and feels about 40. Bob Holder has been competing in rodeos for 70 years, at countless events across Australia, Canada and the United States. In the past he competed in bronc riding but he currently competes in timed team (steer) roping. He says it keeps him involved and fit.
“I don’t want to sit in a chair and talk about people and read papers and talk about how my bones are broken. “I just want to get out and keep on doing whatever I can because I love life.”
He was dismissive when asked if he planned on continuing to ride in the years to come. “My word! I haven’t even started yet,” he said.

I love this! It goes to show how youth is far less about age and far more about how you live your life!
