Now that Globe Walk has finished for the year, many of us need new fitness challenges or goals. Here are some ideas:
1. Join a summer walking group.
One of the Globe Walk Captains suggested:
Outdoor – Cosmopolitan Senior Citizens Centre, 614-11th Street East – (306) 652-9766
Availability: May- September, schedule is seasonal, please call for more information.
- A variety of destinations for each day
- Variety of levels for walking
- Coffee follows a good walk
Indoor – The Centre – 3510 8th St. East (306)-955-6611
Availability: Monday-Friday 7:30 – 9:30 am
Sign up at the Guest Services desk and receive a brochure to help you get started. After you’ve completed your walk for the day, mark your kilometers in the binder at Guest Services to keep track of your progress (Good for Globe Walk next year).
2. Change your walking route
